What does your support mean to Worcester County?
The Worcester County Reserve Deputy Sheriff’s Association is a 501(C) (3) charitable foundation that aids underserved populations throughout Worcester County. It is our organization’s mission to create, raise, and administer a fund that will provide financial resources to help meet the health, educational, social welfare, cultural, and civic needs of the people of Worcester County. This includes assisting charitable and educational institutions, providing care for vulnerable populations, bettering the living and working conditions of various groups of people, and bolstering public safety and law enforcement efforts.
Our organization is dedicated to providing resources and services through annual programs:
- Random Acts of Kindness: To start the year, our teams distribute thousands of goody bags to teachers, first responders, small business employees, municipal workers, and many others.
- Memorial Day at Saint John’s Cemetery: In May, our organization places over 5,000 American flags on the graves of fallen Veterans in Worcester’s Saint John’s Cemetery.
- Senior Picnic: During the summer, we host the largest senior picnic in New England, bringing joy to over 1,200 seniors across Worcester County.
- WCSO Organic Farm: Our organization supports the Sheriff’s inmate-run organic farm initiative that distributes over 40,000 lbs. of produce to our local non-profit partners annually.
- Winter Coat Drive: During the year’s final months, our teams distribute over 4,000 brand-new warm winter coats to those in need in every corner of Worcester County.
Your support of and participation in the 2024 Charity Golf Classic will help our organization continue our mission to impact the residents of Worcester County positively.
